Clock for Noneko (~90%)

CHECK OUT FINAL VERSION OF THIS PROJECT

Its been a while since I blogged...
due to
a financing textbook I bought a while ago.

Finally
Almost done what was supposed to be a present for my girlfriend.

Unfortunately
I wrote the alarm function before finding out that my PIC 16F876a lacks memory...
So I had to remove the alarm.

Nevertheless
It has the following functions:
Simple Game
Demonstrated through the video below (sorry I couldn't focus on the LCD)
Times
Japan and Vancouver
Instructional Lighting
During the first minute after start-up
Quatchi
Aesthetic appeal...
Domo
Displaying my status - eating, studying, bus, etc according to preset schedule

I am going to start finalizing this project beginning this weekend.
It will be a gift so
I have to do a better job on its enclosure
unlike my previous projects: the shoe box digital clock.

Anyways
my next projects will be implementing NES on Altera De-1
and also something for Thunder Bots I joined at UBC.

Though the focus is off
hope my girlfriend enjoys the following videos

UPDATE #1
UPDATE #2
UPDATE #3

After working on power supply project for Sung at PMC Sierra
I finally had some time to continue working on my Tamagochi

It's been a while since I worked on this project
so I needed some time to refresh my brain.

I added more game-plays:

Hungry level
Happy level
Dirty level
Status (Age, Height and Weight) menu
Eating menu

Pictures below shows today's progress.

"Rabu" Nom Nom
Showing Age (in Status Menu) :D
Showing Weight (in Status Menu)
Showing Height in Status Menu
MoguMogu
MoguMogu
"Heeeee, Oicchikatta!" lol
One more button for Menu Selection

Just as before
I ran into "not enough ROM" problem.

I am delaying this project indefinetely.

I will wait until I use all of my remaining 16F876a chips - about 7 of them.

Then I will continue this project when I order new micro-controllers.

RC Car Ideas

Just got my chassis for robotics project I am going to start soon...

Lol Chinese food while going through all the new stuff I got today
This was it in the beginning.

It took me a while to build it completely.
After testing the complete OEM chassis, found out that 4 wheel wasn't going to work.
so i modified it a bit to make it into 2 wheel

Its prt robust chassis. It can be better thou...

2 wheels definitely helped.
So up till now, I have the rear wheel for acceleration.
Planning to (somehow) add a servo in the front for steering.
If not, I guess i can do the ghetto way...
(one wheel turning faster than the other; thus turning)

I am not sure if I want to change the dc motors.
I will find out after i get further into the project...
I definitely need battery thou.
preferably lithium...
It did come with sturdy 3xAA holders, but
3xAA = 4.5V... sad lol

yayy
Anyways... video of its acceleration...

Oh, one more thing b4 I go to bed :D
I got this bluetooth module (not rn-41 which I used b4) for under 10 dollars (everything included)...
which is a super deal considering that rn-41 is around 30 + shipping and tax
yea so if anyone wants one, just use ebay and not sparkfun lol

Breathalyzer #2

THE FINAL VERSION POSTING OF THIS PROJECT IS AVAILABLE

Finished the circuitry of the breathalyzer
:D
I will have to install this in a casing
I think I am just going to Burberry wallet box

Schematic Diagram
Used this wiring diagram for my MQ-3
Codes:

The coding is not perfect
took me about an hour
:(
I don't think this project deserves any more effort
since the cheap alcohol sensor is not accurate

Moreover
I can always reprogram my micro-controller
even after finishing the product.

The only thing I have to remember to do is
for the final product
install a jumper that allows me to stop feeding power to
the sensor's heater

Will be using this for the next EE drinking session

Pictures of the prototype in operation:
Sleeping Mode (This is when the system will save as much power as it can)
This is when the system waits for the sensor to "boot".
This is when the users "blow" lol BAC is calculated and shows on the LCD
This is when the device "intellectually" make a suggestion. Based on BAC and its effects

UPDATE: Fixed BAC calculation after building the enclosure. Will keep updating... after each drinking session
